1. Introduction

At Private Connect, we believe that privacy is a fundamental right. Our primary goal is to provide you with a secure, private, and fast internet connection. This Privacy Policy outlines our strict data collection practices. To put it simply: we only collect the absolute minimum data required to keep our service running smoothly, and nothing more.

2. Information We Collect

To maintain the quality of our network, enforce device limits, and manage our infrastructure, we collect only the following three data points:

  • Bandwidth Usage: The total amount of data you transfer whilst using our service, measured in Gigabytes (GB).

  • Internet Service Provider (ISP): The name of the ISP you use to connect to our service.

  • Device Count: The total number of devices simultaneously connected to your account.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect (Our Strict No-Logs Policy)

What we do not collect is just as important as what we do. We do not monitor, record, log, or store any information regarding your online activities. Specifically, we do not collect:

  • Your browsing history or the websites you visit.

  • The content of your data traffic or communications.

  • Your destination IP addresses.

  • Your DNS queries.

  • Your originating IP address.

Because we do not collect this data, we cannot share it with any third parties, governments, or authorities, even if compelled to do so. We simply do not have it.

4. How We Use the Information We Collect

The minimal data we do collect is used exclusively for the following operational purposes:

  • Network Maintenance: To monitor overall network load and optimise server performance.

  • Fair Usage: To ensure compliance with our terms regarding concurrent device limits and bandwidth allocations.

  • Customer Support: To assist you with troubleshooting connectivity issues related to specific ISPs.

5. Data Storage and Infrastructure

Our servers are hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and are physically located in Singapore.

  • Security: We utilise industry-standard security measures to protect our infrastructure.

  • Third-Party Access: While AWS provides our physical server infrastructure, they do not have access to the encrypted traffic flowing through our VPN tunnel, nor do they have access to the user data outlined in Section 2. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to any third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain the operational data (bandwidth usage, ISP, and device count) only for as long as your account is active and necessary to provide you with our services. If you choose to delete your account, this minimal data will be permanently erased from our systems.

7. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our operations or legal obligations. We will notify you of any significant changes via email or through an announcement on our website.

1. INTRODUCTION

Mark Intelligence (a website/mobile application developed by Mark Choi, currently in the testing phase) ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, and share information when you use our AI conversational services ("the Services"), including our mobile application and website.

By using the Services, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this policy, please do not use the Services.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

To manage your account and provide our AI chat features, we collect the following types of information:

2.1 Account Information (Google Sign-In): If you choose to register or log in using Google Sign-In, we receive and store certain profile information from your Google account. This typically includes your name, primary email address, profile picture, and a unique Google identifier. We use this data solely to create your account, authenticate your identity, and provide a secure, personalised experience.

2.2 User Content (Chat Queries): We collect the text inputs, prompts, and queries you voluntarily send to our AI assistant feature to generate responses.

2.3 Technical Data: We collect technical data including your device model, browser type, and operating system version for security, troubleshooting, and app optimisation.

Note regarding IP Addresses: We use Cloudflare as a security proxy. While your web traffic passes through Cloudflare's global network to protect against attacks, technical logs (including IP addresses) are processed to ensure system security and availability.

3. USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (THIRD-PARTY MODELS)

3.1 AI Providers: To provide advanced conversational capabilities and reasoning, our Services integrate with the following third-party Artificial Intelligence APIs:

  • Gemini API: Provided by Google LLC ("Google"), used for complex reasoning and general conversation.

  • DeepSeek API: Provided by DeepSeek, primarily used for text processing, coding assistance, and logical reasoning.

  • Grok API: Provided by xAI, used for real-time information analysis and conversational responses.

3.2 Data Transmission: When you send a text query, the data is transmitted to our backend servers and then relayed to the respective AI provider (Google, DeepSeek, or xAI) for processing to generate a response.

3.3 No Human Review by Us: We do not manually review the content of your private queries for advertising purposes. The processing is automated.

3.4 Third-Party Data Handling: Your use of AI features is also subject to the privacy policies of the respective providers. We do not control their data retention policies but configure our API usage to minimise data retention where technically feasible.

4. INFRASTRUCTURE AND GLOBAL DATA PROCESSING

To ensure the speed, security, and availability of our Services, we utilise a distributed infrastructure across multiple cloud providers:

4.1 Server Hosting:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS): Our primary backend services and databases are hosted on servers provided by AWS in Singapore.

  • Tencent Cloud: We utilise supplementary servers provided by Tencent Cloud located in Singapore for regional optimisation and redundancy.

When you use our Services, your interaction data may be processed and stored in either AWS (Singapore) or Tencent Cloud (Singapore), depending on routing and system availability.

4.2 Content Delivery Network (Cloudflare): We use Cloudflare to secure and distribute our website globally. Cloudflare acts as a proxy between your device and our servers. Consequently, your web traffic passes through Cloudflare's global network to protect against DDoS attacks and improve performance.

5. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

5.1 Storage Location: Data is NOT solely stored locally. To enable context-aware AI processing and chat history features, your interaction logs (questions and AI responses) are processed and stored on our servers in Singapore.

5.2 Security Measures: We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures (including HTTPS encryption during transit and access controls on our servers) to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or alteration.

5.3 Disclaimer: Please note that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

6. DATA MINIMISATION AND SENSITIVE DATA

Warning: The AI service is designed for general assistance and information. You must strictly avoid inputting text that contains sensitive personal information into the chat interface, such as:

  • Full credit card numbers.

  • Identity card, passport, or social security details.

  • Private passwords or credentials.

  • (etc.)

We accept no liability for any sensitive personal data you voluntarily submit to the AI services through our platform.

7. DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. We share data only with the following sub-processors strictly for the purpose of providing the Service:

  • Authentication & AI Service Providers: Google LLC (for Google Sign-In authentication and Gemini AI content generation), DeepSeek, and xAI (for content generation).

  • Infrastructure Providers: Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Tencent Cloud (for hosting); Cloudflare (for security and delivery).

  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

    • Comply with a legal obligation, subpoena, or court order under the laws of the Macao Special Administrative Region.

    • Comply with valid legal requests from authorities in Singapore, given that our servers and data infrastructure are physically located within these jurisdictions.

8. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

By using our Services, you acknowledge and consent that your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in jurisdictions outside of your home country, specifically:

  • Singapore (AWS servers).

  • Singapore (Tencent Cloud servers).

  • Global locations utilised by Cloudflare, Google, DeepSeek, and xAI for their distributed networks.

We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

9. YOUR RIGHTS (MACAO)

In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (Law No. 8/2005) of Macao, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you (e.g., account details, server logs).

  • Request the correction of inaccurate data.

  • Request the deletion of your data from our servers (subject to legal retention requirements).

To exercise these rights, please contact us at the email address provided below.

10. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.

11. GOVERNING LAW AND USER COMPLIANCE

11.1 Governing Law: This Privacy Policy and your use of the Services are primarily governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Macao Special Administrative Region.

11.2 Compliance with Singapore Laws: You acknowledge that our servers are located in Singapore. Therefore, your use of the Services and the content you transmit through our platform must also comply with the applicable laws and regulations of Singapore (including but not limited to the Computer Misuse Act and Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation Act).

11.3 Prohibited Acts: You agree not to use the Services to transmit, distribute, or store any material that violates any applicable law or regulation in Macao, Singapore, or your country of residence. We reserve the right to report any illegal activity to the relevant law enforcement authorities in these jurisdictions.
